I work with layered ink, egg tempera, acrylic, oil, and encaustic on paper, canvas, fabric, and wood, allowing materials to interact intuitively and guide the painting process. In my recent large-scale works, the paintings unfold through immersive gestures that draw viewers inward and surround them with movement and rhythm. Empty space is as vital as mark-making; it is an active presence that allows motion, emotion, and silence to coexist.

Inspired by nature in its broadest sense, my work does not depict literal scenes. Instead, the imagery moves between the visible and the unseen. Forms, patterns, and symbolic elements exist alongside intangible forces such as dynamism and momentum. The paintings often evoke natural phenomena—waves, currents, wind, and cosmic flow—suggesting cycles of accumulation and release that echo both the natural world and human experience. They are symbolic, yet they also function as visual poetry and song, unfolding through rhythm rather than narrative.

Time is a crucial element in my practice. I am drawn to the timeless moment that exists beyond measurement, as well as the extended sense of time embodied in continuous lines and sweeping gestures. Painting becomes a meditative act, in which attention deepens and each mark records a state of presence. Through this process, time expands, allowing energy to build, pause, and transform.

Living between cultures and traditions while working within contemporary abstraction, I engage in an ongoing dialogue rather than seeking resolution. My paintings inhabit the space between structure and spontaneity, discipline and freedom. Each work is an exploration of balance and awareness, offering viewers a space to slow down, feel, transcend, and enter a shared field of quiet playfulness and expansive possibility.
