In three consecutive workshops for the beginner and intermediate ink painters, the instructor will introduce the history and development of traditional Chinese calligraphy and ink painting, and the basis of required skills: including handling of the brush, materials of ink and rice paper, spirit and philosophy, plus, some demonstration and hands-on practices. More information on materials will be given upon registering. Anyone who is interested in the possibility of using water medium and Chinese/Japanese brush techniques is welcome.
